Kennedy High School

Academics & Programs

Ranked the No. 10 high school in Iowa by the 2021 U.S. News & World Report, Kennedy High School is committed to rigorous academics. Faculty has high expectations for students, and enables them to succeed in the classroom.

Students at Kennedy can choose from 27 AP courses, which is the most offered at any Iowa high school. Kennedy students excel in these courses, too, by earning high scores in AP exams.

Kennedy students can choose from a diverse offering of non-AP courses, including classes in business, pre-engineering, art, and technology. Our journalism program earns national recognition in both our student newspaper and yearbook.
