Kennedy High School is incredibly proud to announce that rising junior Jordyn Velitchkov captured 1st Place at the 2026 Optimist International Oratorical World Championships held this past week at Saint Louis University!
This prestigious international competition challenges students under the age of 19 from all over the world to write and deliver powerful, original speeches. Competing against the best young speakers globally, Jordyn’s exceptional talent and hard work earned her the world title and a $15,000 college scholarship.
Jordyn, who will be a junior at Kennedy this fall, has brought immense pride to our community. Her victory is a testament to her dedication, eloquence, and leadership.
